The ARMC organizes in France the Southern International Model Aircraft Meeting which takes place every year near Arles (13 - Bouches du Rhône). In French, RIAS is for : Rencontres Internationales d'Aéromodélisme du Sud. At his event are presented the "big ones" among aeromodels. This page reports the characteristics of some aeromodels shown in this instance, as well as information to supplement the various national publications on aeromodels. Si les prochaines rencontres devaient avoir lieu, ce ne sera pas pas pour cette année. En effet, Bernard Polo souhaite retrouver du temps pour le consacrer à la pratique de l'aéromodélisme.

Bernard Polo, president of the Arles Radio Model Club (ARMC), is proposing to present the next in the series of Arles International Model Aircraft meetings. These meetings take place on the municipal grounds at Plaines de Meyran. The surrounding scenery is typical of the Camargue, as so memorably recorded on canvas by Vincent van Gogh. This meeting is unique in the South of France and unmissable during the Arles festival. Today's best model pilots, French or foreign, should not miss participating in this exceptional display that has through the years been well known and attracted many accolades. This aircraft show, presented with music, has required many months of preparation and significant financial support. The town of Arles, the local authorities and all the players in the local economy, whether commerce, craft or industry, are gratefully acknowledged here for their support, without which the event would not be able to take place.
